Local tacoma chiropractor Dr. Vince Leone goes into some very easy, very helpful home stretches to help alleviate back and neck pain, as well as headaches.
Today let us take a look at mid back pain, the area betwee the shoulder blades.
Many times patients will tell me they have chest pain and shortness of breath when they have an injury in this area. Some even go to the emergency room thinking they are having a heart attack.
What is really happening is the nerves in the mid back control the heart and lungs and when that area is injured those nerves dysfunction. This will cause heart and lung issues. Get it adjusted and watch the symtoms go away.
Now for the pain. Find a closed door and grab the door knob. Put your feet together and against the wall. Slowly let your butt fall away and stretch your arms out to full length. We are trying to stretch the lats and rhomboid muscles.
Using the weight of your body this will slowly stretch these muscles with minimal risk of injury.
Do this 2 times in the morning for 15 seconds each and watch your mid back pain go away.
