While I personally don’t think that it is entirely fair that women are able to get much better rates on their insurance coverage, I understand why it is that they do.  The simple truth is that car insurance for women is cheaper because they have proven over the years that they are better drivers.  It may seem unfair that female drivers get better rates, especially in a world where everyone wants equality and such, but statistics don’t lie about the fact that women are less likely to get into accidents when they drive, compared to male drivers.  That being said, you’ll find that many insurers are actually targeting female drivers to cover, because they are safer drivers.
