My brother has been trying to pay off college loans and credit cards for about 4 years now.  He’s got a good job but with rent and other living expenses, he’s having a bit of trouble getting his debt under control.  He went to a debt consolidation company a few weeks ago and is already noticing the difference in his wallet.  The company negotiated lower interest rates and lower monthly payments on his credit card and then combined them into one much lower monthly payment and were able to include his student loan in as well.  He will now be debt free much sooner and will be able to begin saving for a home or car in no time.
