Our assembly line has holding tanks at certain parts of the process, and we use wireless industrial pressure sensors to measure that the pressure in the tank and the bottomhole that is correct.  The margin of error on the pressure is very small so we have them hooked up to an alarm that tells us if the pressure is changing too much.  When the alarm goes off we have only a minute or two to fix the pressure problem in the tank.  Luckily, the pressure normally remains pretty steady, but it can be jarring to hear that alarm go off in the middle of an otherwise quiet shift.
