Payroll Clerk Jobs
A payroll clerk prepares payroll reports, which might require working on timecards. Duties include entering payroll hours into accounting system, entering data into employee payroll records, taking care of employee benefits, and answering inquiries from employees and vendors. Additional responsibilities includes working on accounts payable and accounts receivable. Related positions to payroll clerk are payroll processor, accounting clerk, payroll specialist, and payroll executive/accountant. A payroll clerk job may require a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field. Familiarity with the use of ADP PCPW may be an advantage for certain positions. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, and Excel is essential, while good mathematical ability is a must for most payroll clerk jobs.
